I’ve an opportunity to try Zookoda today, a service which lets you build your subscribers lists with minimal effort.

Built with bloggers in mind, Zookoda combines the power of blog marketing with email marketing by providing tools for bloggers to build and manage their own newsletters through their blog.

The Zookoda newsletter is a very convenient feature as most of us (bloggers) do not have enough time to maintain newsletters and blogging at the same time.

This is because besides of functioning as a normal Newsletter, Zookoda lets you send your post daily, weekly and monthly in a fashionable way.

A great tool for marketing blog, this feature will help you manage your blog subscribers and newsletters at the same time, thus saving your precious time of having different lists for your subscribers.

My Experience
I’ve tried Zookoda first hand for my blog email subscription, so far what I can tell is it surpasses all my expectations from a free service like this, because normally I would have to spend at least USD19.95/mo to get a service comparable to Zookoda and those paid service has no little to no integration with marketing blog that I own.

Now with Zookoda, I can easily coordinate my list building effort on my blog as well as my opt-in pages as opposed to have to have a separate subscribe button for each subscription.

In my calculation, this alone will triple my subscribers and will increase the chances of potential customers among my blog readers to each of my product offerings.

Anti-Spam Policy
As a note, Zookoda respects users privacy and strongly opposed spamming pratice, as a result, each of your email list has to be approved before it will go ‘live’ and you are required to affix your business address at the bottom of your newsletters. The subscribers will also receive subscription confirmation to deter the practice of email spamming.

A Peek at Zookoda Control Panel
Finally, I’d like to share with you the Zookoda Control Panel screenshot, I think you can get a lot of great ideas just by looking at them :)

Try Zookoda, it’s free and convenient !

I found this Google ads from Pinoyhack blog via fakapster

I know some people consider nude pics and nudity as an art, but does this means that you are safe to put your google ads on the same page as those pics? Sounds like a grey area to me.

Wonder if anybody ever advertised or put google ads on website filled with nude pics that might borders to pornography?

Congrats Aizatto!

I’ve planned to publish this post earlier but I think it’s better for Aizat himself to announce it on his blog about the news that he won the first place in eGenting Programming Competition 2006.

FYI, This is the first time he entered eGenting Competition and he’s the only person that uses Ruby to solve the eGenting questions.

Seems that winning 1st prize in eGenting programming competiton going to be a nice addition to his CV.

For more information, please read the full story in his blog : Winner of the eGenting Competition 2006

I hate receiving email spams, who doesn’t right? The volume of email spams that I receive hasn’t decrease over the years.

The emails that I receive range from the from the usually annoying sex enhancing drug, sex toys, to a variant of nigerian scam email which ask you for your help to deposit some amount of money.

Most of these emails are stoppable by the keyword filters and bayessian-based spam blocker which scans the frequency of words inside the spammers email. The filter will try to find the keywords commonly associated with scam and spam emails and able to put the spammers email directly into the trash without it ever reaching your inbox.

However, a new breed of spam emails emerged recenty, these emails dono not use text to relay their messages, but instead uses images which can easily bypass keyword-based spam filters which is common in email clients.

However, BorderWare’s has come out with a solution, “Intercept Image Analysis”, which takes the spam fighting methods further by inspecting over 30 attributes about each image, to adapt, learn and defeat new image spam campaigns.

Intercept Image analysis is specifically designed stop image spam , and is compatible with any email clients that you use. Try it now, and send those email spams to >/dev/null

It seems that somebody has managed to get video conferencing working on the OLPC XO Laptop (the USD100 laptop).

This was made possible by Robert McQueen, using telepathy-gabble’s Jingle implementation, telepathy-stream-engine, and Farsight GStreamer RTP library.

The early video conferencing experiment by Robert seems promising when he was able to get bidirectional voice/video call going pretty quickly on OLPC XO laptop.

This is interesting because video conferencing on the laptop may open a wide range of possibilities such as classroom conferencing, video chat and distant learning using the $100 laptop.

Please read the full article at OLPC news for more information about Video Conferencing in OLPC laptop
