Grrr TMNet suspended my Streamyx account!

I’m so pissed because TMnet suspended my account because I was behind my bill. It’s not like I want to pay, but I was busy doing other work that I forgot to pay the bills, besides how can I remember to pay the bills if they fail to deliver them?

Before this I used to receive printed bills everynow and then delivered by mail, and I usually pays up my bills on time, but now TMNet seems not to send Streamyx Broadband bills anymore. I’m bit busy and distracted by my work, making me forgot to pay my bills without the reminder.

What’s worse is, I can’t even log in to tmbill website to see how much that I owe TMnet, they seems to block your streamyx account and your access to online billing system too! Give me a break, at least make the online billing system bit more friendly instead of IE6 only page.

Note to self :

I won’t wait for my streamyx bill anymore, I’ll check my internet bill every 15th day of the month. Damn you TMnet, I lost my productivity hours due to suspension and having to go to their office to pay up my bills (btw, I read that paying Streamyx bills through Maybank2u isn’t safe).

Upgraded to WordPress 2.0.4

After almost a year using WordPress 1.5.2, I finally decided to upgrade it to the latest WordPress 2.0.4 last night.

The upgrade *sounded* easy by just merely reading the html file. But the reality is, I’ve to restore my WP 1.5.2 back again and again because WordPress 2.0.4 just display a blank page after I attempted to upgrade my blog.

Finally I trace back the problem to either my themes or my plugins that caused the problem, so I deleted them too in addition to my old WordPress 1.5.2 files, so that explains why you see yet another new theme for my blog today.

Lucky I use WP-Cron plugin that can help you automatically back up your wordpress database everyday, I suggest you use one to in case if your webhosting company fscked up and leave you without your database.

All in all, I’m glad that I took me less than an hour to upgrade this blog, despite few mishaps happened during the upgrading process :)

My personal workstation keyboard

Introducing my workstation keyboard, I bought it in around 2001, and been serving me well. The letter ‘Q’ broke out from the keyboard when I attempted to clean it. The letter even took part of the keyboard with it, lucky that the letter ‘Q’ is quite unpopular when typing compared to the letter ‘E’, ‘R’ or ‘D’.

If you noticed, the labelling on the keyboard are also gone, heh this is due to the toxicity of my sweat on the fingers. It swept away those letters.

well, there you go my favorite personal keyboard.

This is my favourite chicken

For your information I’ve a chicken coop in my backyard, and this is my favorite chicken.

I found it while it was wandering around the backyard at 8pm, it’s chirping sounds alarmed me to look for it. After that i started to care for it in my house until it has grown up.

Today is the 4th of July, and i’m having a fever

Yup, it’s the 4th of july and i’m having some sort of fever, I felt a bit weak with minimal writing mood right now.

The Spam Karma i recently installed is working well, caught 800+ spams its first day, not bad at all, and oh, my website is also affected by the “Google Dance”, my daily visitor shrunk from 1200+ to 400+, I think google is removing my older posts from it search result, as I’m not getting info from them in my statistic.

I guess I better lie down right now, I’ve taken some paracetamol, hope that will help.

Xajax and side-projects

Hi there, I just want to tell you guys that i’m a bit busy lately because i’m currently doing some side-project at the moment, I can’t tell you what I’m working on just yet, but I can assure you that it has something to do with Ubuntu.

By the way on a completely different matter, I’ve been experimenting with Xajax toolkit since I always wanted to explore this toolkit for quite sometime ago. It is a simple AJAX, but powerful toolkit that allows you to easily create AJAX applications with PHP.

So far life is good down here in Alor Star, though it has been raining lately, the kind that makes you want to stay on bed longer :p

I’ll be back writing more interesting stuffs when I’ve settled out the side-project, which is due in a couple of days.
