I’ve increased my Spam Karma setting to foil spammers, it seems that the spam bot coders are getting more smarter now, avoiding various detections and restrictions.
Let’s see if they can find their way in my blog after i increased the settings to the highest level. Don’t worry, i’ll be still monitoring the spam db for your legitimate comments, so have a nice day :)

People just don’t like to write comments, they like to read posts therefore there is no need to fake posts. Yeah, use the Akismet/Bad Behavior combo. Akismet uses the same thumbs up/thumbs down verification system as SK only that it’s configured collectively by all Akismet users. You do need the API key from WordPress.com though, so if you don’t already have a WordPress.com account, you can’t activate your Akistmet plugin.
Bad Behavior on the other hand manages the automated spambots and makes sure they don’t enter your blog at all. Akismet just deals with the rest.
