About Mypapit GNU/Linux Blog

Mypapit GNU/Linux is a long-running tech blog focused on free and open-source software (FOSS), Linux tutorials, and web development. Since its inception in 2005, it has served as a practical repository for system administration guides and custom Bash scripting solutions designed to empower users in their digital independence.

Moving into 2026, the blog continues to bridge the gap between complex software engineering and everyday usability by providing up-to-date resources for modern hardware and niche troubleshooting tips for the global FOSS community

About mypapit

Hi, I am Mohammad Hafiz bin Ismail, the person behind this blog. Most people know me by my pseudonym, “mypapit.”

I am based in Malaysia and I work as an educator and researcher in Computer Science. My day job is a mix of teaching, guiding students, writing papers, and building practical systems that connect research with real-world problems.

Why I write?

write to keep my notes organized, share what works (and what fails), and hopefully help other people who are learning or building similar things.

If you are a student, researcher, developer, or just curious, you are welcome here.
